I can't believe its been over a week since my last blog entry. I think with the children being off last week the time flew by.
We didn't really do much apart from Friday when we had a trip to Yorkshire including Haworth (because I love the Brontes).
This week so far has been catching up with jobs and watching and today is the first day that I've been out.
It was a quick trip into the local village where I found these lovely bowls in Help The Aged. I paid 3 pounds for the 6 but I dont really know what to use them for.
They are metal but it doesn't look like stainless so I'm not sure about putting anything edible in them but I couldn't leave them behind because of the beautiful colours. I think they remind me of narrowboat decoration.
So, any suggestions of what to use them for will be gratefully received.
I'm off to Trentham Gardens with my friend tomorrow for a girlie day. There are lovely little shops in chalets and the Garden centre has a fabulous section for the home and a brilliant restaurant.
Saturday Miss T has asked if I will take her and her best friend shopping on the bus and Master T has his first indoor cricket match of the season on Saturday night. Its against the team who knocked them out of the tournament last year so fingers crossed.
Will try and post on Sunday - it should be quieter - that is apart from cooking the dinner, washing, ironing, dusting, hoovering etc etc etc

They remind me of bargeware too..how pretty they are,although I'm not sure how you could use them.
If I had them, I'd definitely use them at my next art session with my group of children..get them to paint similar designs etc. ;-)
OOOH i love them! i wouldve bought them too-although i dont actually need any bowls! I think theyd be great for the summer-when you serve salad, id put cucumber in one, cherry toms in another etc. Or kids parties...or spring bulbs lines up on a window sill, the possibilities are endless!

OOh they are the exact same range as some bits I bought last week, they had the same bowls, little dishes and tealight holders too. Mine are from a shop called Tiger, I have blogged about them if you fancy having a little look!
You got a good bargain there as they were a pound each brand new. XXX
I love the bowls... I think you could use them for candles or bulbs if you're worried about eating from them :)
They are lovely - I like the turquoise one the best. I would put little soaps in one, or sweeties....
you could put one by the front door for keys?

They are gorgeous. I'd use them as tealight holders or bead dividers.
Are they enamel? They're very pretty. I'd have bought them too for that price.

I can understand why you had to put these bowls in your shopping bag! I'd probably end up using them to house craft supplies - buttons etc.
The bowls are really pretty - could you use them for plants? If you get really stuck you could share them with some blogging friends [hint]...
I am really envious of the colourful bowls. They would look good at Easter time filled with wrapped Easter eggs or perhaps you could pop a small plant in them. I wish I could have come to Haworth with you - I love Jane Eyre. Although, last year I did get to visit Haddon Hall where they filmed the last version of Jane Eyre. Lucky you.
I'd use them for spring bulbs, chocolates & buttons!
They are really pretty! If you're worried about using them for food you could put in some lavender hearts (without hanging ribbons) or some decorative eggs or something.

The bowls are gorgeous. Could you do something like I have done with my teacups?
They are so pretty, I would just sit them in a group somewhere in your home and admire them!
